I'm back!

in #life7 years ago (edited)

So, after a long couple months of dealing with both financial and medical problems, things are finally starting to look up.

A couple weeks ago I had to move back to Indiana with family. I was in a bind financially due to my rent being raised in January plus the added financial stress of medical bills and hours being cut at work. Also in January, I suffered an injury to my ankle. I was walking up the stairs to my apartment after coming home on a very snowy day and while walking up the stairs my foot slipped and I smashed the outside of my ankle on the cement stairs.

I was unable to walk for a couple weeks due to it swelling up like a baseball. This put me out of work and ultimately led to me having to leave my job and move back home. Not working due to 3 weeks off for Christmas break and then another few weeks after an injury really put me in a bad spot.

Luckily, my family let me move back in with them while I get myself back on my feet. I'm very thankful for them. So, thanks mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, and everyone else who has helped me during this mess.

I still have pain in my ankle and have not been able to get it checked out as I currently don't have insurance and don't want to add an debt to my life. So, I've been taking it easy doing some odd jobs here and there and working on some potential business ideas with the skills I have while I save up money. I'm also considering returning to school and finishing my degree in computer science.

So, that's just a little update in case anyone missed me. :P I am going to be starting to post regularly and I will be making videos and doing giveaways again as well. I also have some plans for a new Steemit account/community that I'll reveal later. I'll just say the purpose of it is to help other people. More details will be revealed soon! Stay tuned and thanks for reading!

Hope things pick up for you

They have been! I've been feeling a ton better and I almost have full mobility back in my ankle. Just some occasional pain and some tightness in my leg from not using it for awhile. Smooth seas don't make a skilled sailor!

It's given me a lot of time to think about things and work on a plan. I guess I'm kind of grateful for it in a way. All of the downtime has given me a 'clarity' if that makes any sense.

Thank you @steevc!

Man, that sounds rough bro. I really hope you are doing better and I'm sure things will look even brighter than before.

Thanks @tntdabomb! I almost have full mobility back in my leg and ankle. Just some occasional pain if I'm on it all day and some tightness/soreness in my muscles. But, at least I can walk and work a bit again.

Luckily I have my family to fall back on and I'm actually kind of glad to be back in the area I grew up in, strangely. Everything happens for a reason! All of the downtime has given me a 'clarity' if that makes any sense.
