Sometimes people just think if you disagree or don't fully understand, you're sitting on the other end going REEEEEEEE! So some have that vision in their head of a nutcase well in advance, and apply it to anyone not cheering. The one having doubts is then forced to take the blame for the vision inside the other's head. That happens with tone as well. You can write something direct, maybe a bit blunt, but perfectly calm; people hear yelling within their minds, and blame the one who isn't yelling for the voices inside their head.
Texting is still a relatively new form of communication. Several still struggle with it. And in this day and age, sometimes people are fearful of being wrong, since the 'error' is published. So if they make the mistake of viewing you as a nutcase, no matter what you say, they won't come down from that cloud.

This shit always happens to me...
Happens to me as well. This is a global crowd. Some areas are a little more delicate when it comes to communication. But it's not up to others to tiptoe around their needs. Especially since it's impossible to know in advance. Some will think you're angry just for slipping in a fuck or shit. Commence communication breakdown...
The sad part is I like to cuss and what not. I don't like to talk all calm all the time. In fact as I am getting older I am slowly getting calmer but my voice and tone still gets taken as me offending them with my bluntness.
I get the whole be good to others but sometimes I just have about 1 fuck to give in a day and I use it for something that I think I really do give a fuck about.
Context matters. Some concerns require a certain amount of professionalism. If you're just shooting the shit with someone, shoot the shit. Sometimes a guy just has to put their work clothes on. Especially if you want to get or see shit get done.
One mistake some cultures make is assuming those using relaxed language are somehow inferior intellectually. One of those crazy myths people believe. I've yet to meet a millionaire who doesn't fucking talk like this sometimes. And the smart types I know wouldn't waste their time giving a fuck about minor details.
