RE: Lapping It Up and Agreeing: That's the Problem I'm Seeing

in #life2 years ago

I was using the mirror tool split in four sections for the first two. If you turn the fish and frog one upside down, you get the same picture. It's still all produced/painted by hand from scratch.

Some died, yes. Some died inside.

And yes, the people are ignored quite often all over the internet. Of course if there are thousands of comments, you'd be there for a week talking and not getting anything else done. They should make a question section.

I know of at least one person here on Hive who would reply to every last one :) ... (Sorry for the late reply, unfortunately I'm not the one who would be able to handle thousands of comments!)

Wow, so frog and fish is hand painted??? That must have taken a lot of time 😲

Well one certainly can't produce digital art with their feet. The mirror tool mimics your actions in the other sections, which is a huge time saver. Still takes time though, yes. And attempting to make one character look like something else when flipped and mirrored is a challenge.

P.S. I don't really like the spam tokens cluttering and advertising under my posts.

Very true, but from what I understand most of it is done on a machine from start to finish. It just seems more special somehow that it was begun on canvas or paper. But either way, it's in no way fast or easy.

Sorry, I didn't know you didn't like the tokens

Yes, digital art is produced on a computer. But you can't just think something and push a button. You must create it, by hand. There are several brushes and tools to use, by hand. Much like I'm typing this comment, by hand. I don't need a pen and paper to tell you this, I used a keyboard as a digital writing tool and got the same result.

The tokens are cool. I'm glad people have fun with them. Never been a fan of the spam comments they generate.

Definitely 🙌 That takes days to do. The only ones I've ever done completely from scratch are fractals. But I have done some work, with psd files and such.

Even the memes that I made a couple of years ago for a friend took hours to get just right, because of adding original art to it, and making sure everything looked good. But I'll admit, sometimes I was off, and he wasn't shy about saying so 🤣

Hopefully soon the other tokens will try what Pizza is doing, on minimizing the number of replies

It does take time. I've been working all day trying to finish some new ones for my next post, which I started a few days ago already. A few hours at a time. Can be tedious but I enjoy it.

I look forward to seeing that post :) ... Enjoy your artwork 🙌
