One day a teacher on the blackboard wrote:
- 5 + 1 = 7 *
- 5 + 3 = 8 *
- 5 + 4 = 9 *
- 5 + 5 = 10 *
- 5 + 6 = 11 *
- 5 + 7 = 12 *
- 5 + 8 = 13 *
- 5 + 9 = 14 *
- 5 + 10 = 15 *
- 5 + 11 = 16 *
When he finished writing, he looked back. The pupils was laughing because the first equation was wrong.
The teacher said to them: * I wrote the first equation wrongly intentionally *!
Because I wanted to inform you today of the most important thing:
- Know how the most people will deal with you *!
If you notice that I have written nine equations, all of them are true, yet no one has congratulated me on them!
But everyone laughed sarcastically and criticized the only mistake!
Most people around you do not care if you do the right thing, even a million times,
But you are a target * for criticizing them for one mistake you made *
Do not be discouraged by the multitude of scoffers
I like that one. It is so true. We should make an effort to applaud everyone when they get things right and quit scoffing when folk get things wrong... especially as we ALL get things wrong occasionally!
