I have been reading a lot here on steemit- yeh, i read posts here and I'm glad you are mine right now- and most of posts i have read have been on new year resolutions; what it should consist of, and doing away with negative vibes. Most of which i agreed with and commented on.
Yesterday i commented on a post by @stackin on how 'YOU MUST HAVE "HUGE GOALS" IF YOU EVER WANT TO WIN IN LIFE!' I absolutely loved it. You should check it out.
Reading it, however, got me thinking about the little things.
I'm definitely taking @stackin advice and planning it big next year; aiming for a million dollars. _ it sounds riduculus, i know, however, like they say 'aim for the stars'_. But, i as i do this, i will not neglect the little things either.

That being said, we shouldn't neglect those 'little' details in our lives we would like to improve on such as calling loved ones more often, changing our lifestyle for the better, being more conscious of how treat others or even down to how often we brush our teeth.
So, as you go about the new year, work towards achieving all that you can and pay attention to the little things that count- even in your relationships with others. That text could make the other smile for hours, you know.
Because it might not be what will make you 'win in life' but it will make you a better person, which to be me, is the best kind of winning.

@nwamaka a journey of a thousand miles begins with a tiny step taking in the right direction. A million dollars is definitely doable, you might want to break it down into the 4 quarters of next year, so q1 you should have gotten a quarter of a million dollars so by the end of the year, you would have achieved our goals.

Those little things, I believe are what make the difference in our lives... They are what distinguishes happy and grateful people from the majority of the world, which they don't know how to be happy and grateful.
Taking the time to acknowledge and appreciate those little things and moments gives us the opportunity to be ready and prepared for when the bigger ones will come.
So I totally agree with you on setting big goals but never forget to appreciate the little things, those little drops as you perfectly described them.
Wishing you to achieve whatever you aim for in 2018 , always acknowledging and appreciating the little drops .
