When all you could see is a gloom and nights so dark
Even familiar friends and dogs start to bark
Your tummy grumbles all for one reason: lack
You feel life has taken one over you and your abode is the park
Look up to God, your Rock Of Ages and your ark
You can be very sure He has your back
Even when you feel susceptible to attack
Look up to God and know light will shine in the midst of the dark
Wave to your sadness and give it a quit notice: sack
All the burdens of the world dumped on you, kindly pack
Because God is your very present help in times of need
He will not suffer your foot to slip or bleed
To the cool and green pasture He will lead you to feed
Listen to the voice of reason in this poem and heed
There is always life at the end of the tunnel
And it is not from an on-rushing train
It is the voice of hope amidst the pain
A soft whisper giving you relief like the rain
Life comes hard sometimes for us to gain
When life happens, take your focus off man
Turn your attention to God because only Him can...
Help is on the way...hang in there...
