Once upon a time in October - Part 1

in #life6 years ago (edited)

We are writing the year 2008, it was midsummer and the year had us firmly under control. Our order situation was very good and we planned a cruise for October and November after completing a large order. The trip was to start in South Africa, take us towards India, Sri Lanka, and Singapore.

But it came differently, quite differently...

At the end of August, we received a call for help from a hotelier. He was completely desperate, his hotel in deep red and threatened by the competition, which brought him fewer and fewer guests.

After a lengthy back and forth and a determination of the circumstances in the hotel, we decided to accept the order.

It was a clear "pro bono order".

Adé cruise, again no vacation, once again too little free time...I had no desire at all.

After arriving at the hotel in southern Germany, the place I keep silent, we made friends with the new surroundings.
Getting to know the management, the works council and the individual department heads went well and, contrary to expectations, was also fruitful.

We were awarded a junior suite for 2 weeks and settled in at home.

It was a beautifully situated hotel in the middle of an old park with wonderful trees from the 18th century.
A retirement home was attached to the hotel complex. The first two weeks flew by and we made very good progress with our work, but it was foreseeable that we would not manage with a realization phase of 12 weeks.

Because the suite was no longer available, we were assigned a "charming" apartment - in the residential wing of the retirement home! Our enthusiasm was very limited because already the smell and the whole atmosphere was just horrible, morbid and unfriendly to people.

After four weeks, it was the end of September, the wife of the general manager paid us a visit. She was glad that an upward trend was foreseeable and wanted to thank us in a very special way. She and her husband were, due to the financial situation of the hotel, and we knew this, not able to pay any fee.

The suggestion she made to us hit us right in the heart. It was so important for her and her husband to show their gratitude and she asked us if we would like dogs. We affirmed this and reported that we always wanted to have a dog because in our business it was no problem at all to travel with a dog.

Long speech, short sense, within a few days we drove to the Black Forest to pick up our dog.

It was a well-known and experienced breeder of Rottweiler dogs. We entered the "nursery" and were more than enthusiastic about all the wonderful and beautiful puppies. All still available puppies were romping and frolicking - there were 4 of them.

In the left corner of the children's room lay the mother and very close to her lay a little girl dog. She was the smallest and weakest of the litter and immediately conquered our hearts. She came up to us and we took her in our arms one after the other.

We are and have always been spontaneous and have always had a heart for the weakest on our planet.

After completing the formalities, we had a new family member - we called her "NIIRTI".

Oh my goodness! She is just adorable. I love puppies, puppy breath is the best!

That's funny, but I like the smell of the fur and I'll never forget its own smell.

I've read this a couple of times but I just want to double check - you got paid in Dog? Rottweiler specifically? That makes DogeCoin look a very poor substitute!

Adorable puppy, and what a fantastic story to go with it.

Hahahahhahaa oh come on!!! And you think my jokes are bad!???? Lolok

Thank you very much for your reply.

It was a terrible time for the hotel owners, because their existence was at stake, especially as the entire company had been family-owned for 100 years.

The wife of the hotelier was a very kind lady and she knew that we like dogs very much.
The breeder was her cousin and for the couple, it was a gesture not to lose their face.

Ohhhhh I'm finally able to sit and read ♥️♥️♥️ she is so beautiful!!! Loving the weakest!!! This is what made me fall in love with my husband too 😊 he cared for the people at his job whoever were mentally handicapped. They all treated him like a big brother and he would treat them like his own.

He thinks I chased after him because of his long legs... Lolollol

But no... His heart for everyone, no matter their station. I love this quality! ♥️

And she's such a cute puppy!!! Hehehe

Can't wait for part 2
