I have heard some married people make a statement like:
"if I know this is the kind of person you are, I will not have married you". If you know you have this
kind of attitude I would not have settled down with you..
While other couples are saying "even in the next world to come if I see you I will marry you again" if there is marriage in heaven when we get there I will marry you again..
Let me pause and ask........
The question is " can you know a person completely before you marry him or her?? My answer is a capital NO.
You can never know all about your partner. If you think you know all it is just a quarter of the person that you know..
And if you want to know all before settling down, then you have to wait for eternity.. No one knows the heart of a man except God.. Now the difference between this statement of this couple is that , the first couples discovered all the flaws in his or her partner and accepted it..
The second discovered all this flaws and refused to adapt and accept his or her partner....... One thing you must have at the back of your mind is that, in every person there is a little hidden behavior,
attitude, character that will likely not manifest now until you marry, or there are signs but you were so carried away to notice them while in a relationship....
Another thing you must take to heart is that as you are dating that person,
Or about to Wed, you must learn to FALL IN LOVE with
THREE persons.
1. Love the person you think
your partner is.
2. Love the real person he or she is.
3. Love The person he or she is going to become as a result of being married to you..
You must understand very well that love in marriage is
beyond any engagement or wedding RING.. Ring will fade, or it can be misplaced. But love never fade..
