China's first space lab is falling to earth, but there is no call for alarm because the odds of any debris hitting someone is astronomically small. The station was designed with a two year lifespan, which has been exhausted, they expect the space station to fall to earth in the coming months.
In September 2016, China's Manned Space Engineering Office announced that the Tiangong-1 would re-enter the atmosphere around the latter half of 2017, likely in an uncontrollable orbit. Although most of the pieces will burn up in the atmosphere, some larger pieces will likely make it to earth.
