I've been depressed many times in my life. What seemed to help me is going completely away, maybe on vacation to a sunny place. Last year I went to Greece, and the relaxed atmosphere, the sunny weather and beautiful landscape completely calmed me down and reset my spirits. It's sad to see people going down because of depression. I wish I could help them, but in the end it is usually up to themselves..

Thanks for sharing your experiences ! I love to read stories of others. Taking a break could be definitely a way to escape from depression. Sun is always good for the human spirit and leaving the old environment could be relaxing as well! I hope you have find your happiness and if there comes a time when you feel depressed again, dont let it overcome you! You are stronger than you think. Just believe in yourself

One thing that I also loved in Greece, that did do something spiritually and emotionally for me, was to visit ancient temples! I had this strange thought in my head, that I would connect with the ancient gods and get them on my side! Oddly enough, it did feel cleansing even though I am not religious!
