Obviously some mixed emotions over here, but such is life. Overall, all is well enough.
SUCH A DAY
As it pertains to my steemit anniversary, I must say, being online is interesting. I never came online much at all, and never had much need for the internet. In fact, in the last month I finally got my first internet ever hooked up to the house. It was mostly phone wifi hotspots before that. But steemit came along, and it was the spider that got me caught in the world wide web. The rest, as they say, is history... I do seem to be able to manage online though, so thanks for being here over the last three years my friends.
As it pertains to the death of my paternal grandpa, death is inevitable. Thankfully, he was over 80 years old and lived a lot in his days. A cousin of mine has a wedding coming up soon, but we weren't sure if we'd be able to make it, so some of the Little-Peppers went up to Wisconsin with me a few weeks back for the "wedding shower." It happened to be taking place just around the corner from where my Grandpa lived, so we were able to hang out with him for a while before the shower. Our time was pleasant, and we try not to take anything for granted, so that helps make the most of it.

I also celebrated my 3 rd Birthday / Anniversary on July 13 and know what a roller coaster ride it has been, Wow!! Im sure over the next 4 years we will see the best times ever! Eighty years is a long time to live. My heart goes out to you today. I hope you have an easy time of transition in your loss.
My own paternal grandfather was 83. I still miss him and he died over 40 years ago.

So true. As a family, we are trying to remind ourselves of all the wonderful things in our lives that can easily be taken for granted. Granted can sometimes be "ungranted" without warning, especially if ungrateful. Practicing gratefulness in all circumstances is mandatory, especially for dad and mom.
Congrats on 3 years on Steemit. I see such a strange mix of optimism and despair on this platform, watching STEEM drop in price is discouraging. I have a tendency towards loyalty and optimism when it comes to Steemit. Now with all these new websites using the STEEM blockchain, with their own tokens (I think there's twelve now), there are new opportunities to begin again with large rewards that can be profitable in the right circumstances.
