The blockchain is a technology of great potential that my reckoning is still in its infancy.
I consider it to be so because the innovation within the space is going strong and it bubbles like a World bubbling over with magma before its surface cools sufficiently to form a more permanent crust.
Of course great potential can cut both ways - both for good and for evil - and the only way to prevent governments and corporations from tilting things heavily in their own favour is to ensure that they never gain a monopoly in either technology or choice. Once that should happen then the game will truly be up with the unapproved sometimes literally ending up underground and way off the grid for lack of respite.
I personally am of the view that pushing back in the form of paragovernance is one way to both protect the future of blockchain technology and freedom, as well as utilizing the blockchain towards such goal.
