In the crevices and over the horizons are animals on land and sea and plants galore, but it is the human I most adore. I can cast my eyes upon the beauty of it all and my heart has the choice to care that there is beauty to see. Thanks to the maker that gave us a heart and eyes.
What a tentacled nightmare it would be if everyone was like me.
The world is scaled to a sightseer’s privilege. It’s a visionary’s joy to breathe, walk and appreciate a stroll out into the atmosphere. On my patio, my porch, or in my yard I can look out and appreciate the world. I can marvel over the beauty of the difference in the races, color, hair and hair textures, personalities similar and personalities different. There is character on display (“Let me count the ways”). What a joy to see and be entertained and be deciphers of our heart’s understanding. Ear, nose, throat, eyes and mouth, humor and frowns, words and clowns, how magnificent the depth of meaning.
A simple residential area can bring variations of neighbors, flowers and shrubbery and pets, dogs and cats of different breeds and there are different species flying high in the sky. There are birds and the bees flying low in flowered trees and there are mammals of the seas. Mrs. Dodson even has a bird that talk. “Happy, happy, be happy,” it cries.
Be still my pleonastic heart. How many ways has it counted human expression? There have been countless ways stored in my human brain. It contains the nature of mankind; showing qualities of rationality and knowing and understanding that life is best when it provides a good human existence for all. It means knowing that such an existence is always something to aim for. And knowing we are not to get bogged-down by Rorschach’s delusions, causing guessing and speculation. The picture of humanness is clear, never fogged-up or abstract but always archetypically for what real means.
Time is too short to say it all but there is time to say, “Thank you maker! I’m indebted because nothing cancelled my alarm clock this morning. The world had not fallen-in. Although, there have been floods, we never faced forty days of it, and although we have had earthquakes, the biggest earthquake on record yet impends. My heart cares that calamity has touched some, scaling a suffering that I have not known. Stay strong to all and know that grief lessens. Take stock in knowing hope is clear and never hidden. It can reside so simple that we could miss it. It is as simple as the waking at alarm’s hour and finding the ocean has not overflowed.
Hallelujah.
