RE: I Know Why So Many Businesses Started In Garages In California

in #life7 years ago

I used to have the garage in California. And it was truly nice weather most of the time. It got a bit hot in the summer though. I had mine carpeted and bookshelves and all my computer gear was out there. Now I live in Idaho and it gets cold in the winter. I still keep some of my computers in the garage. But they are all miners. So while I love the weather in California it is so nice to have cold temps in the winter for mining so I don't have to use the ac to cool the equipment. It's about 6-7 months of low cooling expense for the mining gear. However when the equipment is off it does get cold in there. I still have a gaming area in the garage and a carpeted are all out there. I have to leave a space heater running to warm me up when the temps outside the garage drop below about 30 outside. The snuggie might be a good idea for out there! Maybe you can get yourself a pair of gloves that have some good mobility so you can still type in the low temps.

So you know what I'm talking about! Having a rig would warm it up, but it's only cold like three months here. I'm just complaining cause I can't feel my fingers. lol. Thanks for telling me about your garage experience. I bet we have the coolest garages in the US, no pun intended. lol Thanks for reading.
