Money Money Money
And the roof over your head
"Rent" is "torn"
And "riven" the same
Who are the winners and what's the endgame?
"Mort-gage" is a death pledge
You might stick around for
Unless you're foreclosed
(then they'll show you the door)
CHASE Freedom evades us
Whether Mortgage or Rent
Hence citizens a-plenty
Now live in a tent
So dream lofty dreams
beyond red or blue pills
generate crypto
(and these hundred dollar bills!)
May currency flow;
The new and the old
Let Life Be Our Pledge
in our 'panning for gold'
Riches and value
Are what we make it
Heart mind body spirit
{Nothing can break it}
MORTGAGE is a modern day oddity:
Mort-gage means death-pledge. "Living Pledges" were the norm in England until 1190, meaning, pledges of possessions while one was living until the debt was paid. 'Death Pledge has a different spin on it; the mort-gage / death pledge debt design, established in this Common English Law that tracks through to today, provided protections to the grantee (the lender); these protections granted the lender rights on the borrower's property (to foreclose), swiftly or grossly favoring the lender #RobberBarons

Though every thread is torn
Dance me to the end of love.."
