There's this saying, "Ang basurang itinapon mo ay babalik sayo". In English, it simply means that the garbage that you've thrown goes back to you. Garbage pollution is a major problem here in the Philippines, as well as in other third world countries. Most of the time this garbages ends up in the oceans causing pollution and eventually killing the corals, ocean creatures, etc.
Piles of garbage wash up along Manila Bay on Sunday after the enhanced southwest monsoon dumped heavy rains in the area.

The photos were taken in Manila Bay here in the Philippines. This is just a sample of the major problem because of many irresponsible people particularly, here. Let's be real, most Filipinos lack disciplined when it comes to this matter. It's true that the government have part on this problem. They should be responsible for creating a good garbage system or flood system, but the major part goes to every individual to be responsible for their own trash.
This a wake-up call for every Filipinos as well as in other countries. People should not throw garbage on the roads, corners, empty spaces or rather wherever they find a place. We should all learn to throw our trash properly to lessen the garbage pollution. Let's all work together to save the environment!
This is horrible. We are destroying our evironment.
That's true :(
