Let Not The Regrets Of Yesterday Or The Fear Of Tomorrow Rob Us Of The Joys Of Today

It has been said that life is short but to put it more precisely life is short if we waste our time. It is fact that all of us do not know when we will die, and we do not even know whether we can live thorough tomorrow. When this truth sets in, it remains us again how precious time is and that if we waste our time, we are actually wasting our lives.

Therefore each day that we are still alive in this world is both a gift and a blessing. Indeed we should give thanks for this blessing and we should strive to make full use of this blessing that has been given to us. Once we begin to start treating each and every day as a blessing, it will indeed become a blessing for us.

However, in order to truly enjoy the blessings and the joys that the day brings, we need to be fully present, enjoying and immersing in our moment to moment experiences. Yesterday is already gone and no matter how much we dwell on it, we will not be able to change our past. Although we possess the power to chart our future, we can never be totally sure that tomorrow can be ours. We need to act today in order to change our future. With yesterday gone and tomorrow uncertain, let us treasure the blessings of today. Therefore let not the regrets of yesterday or the fear of tomorrow rob us of the joys of today.

The most famous phrase that we often hear. We are all really just passing by in this gift of life we are privileged to experience. I would like to think it is important to live sincerely. It is the thing that we really should be striving in this borrowed time we have. How much close are we in becoming our true self, to our whole being? We are not just made out of muscles, bones, nerves, internal organs etc. We are also spirit, not everyone might believe it but that is what I feel inside. The only way we could bring delight on our last days is to reflect and go back to all the good things we did for others more than what we did good for ourselves. You wouldn’t like to be remembered as someone who is a selfish & difficult person to deal with. Someone who is hated by most. I believe that we are all kind and nice. Because it feels good to be kind and nice than to be rude and obnoxious. It’s that simple, we can feel that almost instantaneously.

positivity need on my life...

The regret of my life is that I have not said 'I love you' often enough.

Agree with you @positivesteem, no matter how much we dwell on the past we are not able to do anything, but we still can do something in the present.

Very well said.
I find a lot of people struggle letting go of the negative things. Focusing on things you can control is key to success!
