The San Francisco Suicide Club - a Secret society
“This is your life, and its ending one minute at a time.”
― Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club
How did we get to this point with our faces stuck in our smart devices all day long. We miss everything around us while hoping for another quick fix on social media.
Food fight
Generation X'ers and millennials in this day and age do not have a common goal a purpose. Our grand parents had the World Wars that united them against something big and important. We are just drifting through life like ice bergs each busy on his or her own social media island. Awake from your deep sleep.
There was a time where clubs and secret societies were something that we all belong to when we were children, a more romantic era. When I read about the San Francisco suicide club and watch the old photos of their crazy escapades it stirs up feelings of wanting to belong to a adventurous group of people with a underlying purpose. We want to belong to a group of like minded people that wants to make a difference and at the same time have allot of fun.
The San Francisco suicide club was a secret club of people looking for adventure. They would scale buildings, explore underground sewers, change billboard adds or just do pranks all around the city. It was the danger element of getting caught or injured that made people want to join. The movie Fight Club was created by Chuck Palahniuk who was a member of the Cacophony society that in turn was born from the San Francisco Suicide Club.
The Illuminati and Freemasons does not count.
