there are definitely "off" flavors in beer that can happen from the brew process, bottling, etc.,
Why do so many breweries still use clear bottles? Light can do immense damage to beer. Brown bottles are so much better.

I wonder the same thing myself all the time...sitting on shelves in clear containers in the light, cooled or not, is not doing any favors to the beer
