It is not a secret that we're living in a strange world. You'd not wonder if I say that a man is marrying with Donkey. But I'm sure you'd wonder when you'll get to know that there are jobs which were supposed to be illegal but laws are okay with them! Not only okay, they hire those officials and pay them for such duties! Man, drugs cause a lot of deaths and now the government is hiring a group of people who make sure that you do drugs? Are they crazy?
That's right, that made me wonder and my curiosity insisted me to do more research and man! I am sorry to say that my first discovery was not the only one! And that made me feel that I should share this with my other Steemit family members!
You might experience some OMG moments in this post because it is that weird and serious! I'd not waste more time, I appreciate your willingness and curiosity to know more, and guess what? I can't wait to expose what is going on in our world! so here we go.
The Loop - Oh baby, you don't do drugs? come let's do drugs safely!

The Loop which is a UK-based organization that consists of a private group of doctors and scientists. Their main task is to make sure that people do drugs safely especially when you are in Nightclubs and dark places, to make sure that you do not end up in depression.
On your request, they can arrange a test for you to determine whether your drug consumption level is safe for you! That means there is no need to worry now! you can have as many drugs as you want. Just arrange a test and all will be fine, eh?
"Fiona Measham has the nightlife in her bones, and it's driving her
mission to help the UK's partygoers use drugs as safely as possible.
In 2013, Measham—along with drum 'n' bass DJ Wilf Gregory—founded a
drug-harm-reduction NGO group called the Loop, which made
international headlines last summer when it conducted the UK's first
front-of-house drug testing (MAST) at UK music festivals like Secret
Garden Party and Kendal Calling."
You might be questioning yourself, how it can be bad when their duty is for our good? Actually, the usage of drugs should be discouraged and when there are services like this, then who do you expect to leave such bad habits? They'll become dependent on those tests, and consume the drugs even more!
Those people who used to stay away from drugs, when they'd know that there is so-called safe drug consumption level, then they'll become addictive of alcohol and rely on those tests. At some point in the future, when they couldn't afford to request a test, they'll cross their safe limits. The service actually increased the number of drug takers, while temporary controlling deaths, they increased the number of drug takers therefore high chances of even more deaths!
Information Broker - Oh yeah she was raped 5 times in total!

Most probably, you're aware that there are some su*kers like that. But I am sure that you don't know how common it is, and that you might deny believing that this practice is common especially in a strict country like the United States!
Such animal-like people earn money with your sensitive information. In the US, the field is best represented by Experian and Choice Point. They are big enough (call them giants) and mine your data to profit from them.
Imagine if they have your sensitive information like if you are divorced, or sexually harassed, your age, your phone number and your home address! The crime would be easier for criminals then! and guess what, they have data of millions of people, and according to a source, their rate varies on the sensitiveness of information and it is being recorded like 8 cents per story!
But the question may be, how do they get that information?
Simple, these data brokers collect sensitive information from anywhere you've ever been like shops, pizza huts, and hotels etc. The bottom line is, try to keep your sensitive information as secret as possible from everyone and make sure that you do your activities in trustworthy places only!
"ChoicePoint Inc. became an all-purpose commercial source of personal
information about Americans, with billions of details about their
homes, cars, relatives, criminal records and other aspects of their
lives. The head of the Federal Trade Commission, the U.S. agency that
supposedly regulates the industry, has admitted that her agency
doesn’t even know how many data brokers exist, let alone what they’re
all doing. The industry is very intent on keeping its dealings in the
shadows, defying even senior U.S. government investigations. And
there's little to stop data brokers from using the information they've
gathered from us in whatever way they please, says Jeff Chester, a
privacy advocate and director of the Center for Digital
Democracy."Because there are no online privacy laws in the United
States, there's no stop sign, there's no go slow sign, there's no
crossing guard."
Distributor Of Death - You wanna commit suicide? Don't worry!

Although assisted suicide is a serious crime, even mercy-killing is legal only in a few countries but what can be said? The world is a weird place with full of strange people who take the name of human welfare but engage themselves in activities which don't only harm but cause death to human!
Dignitas presents the legit way to commit suicides by finding loopholes in Swiss law. The procedure to die is pretty straight-forward! Follow the steps if you want to die:
- Register with Dignitas and fill their mouth with fee
- Prove your illness from which there is no hope to recover (i.e terminal illness)
- Wait for their approval and once accepted, inject a death cocktail inside your body under their supervision.
"The first step for anyone intending to avail themselves of Dignitas’s
services is to become a member. This involves payment of a £162
joining fee plus a minimum annual fee of £65. You need to send in
copies of your medical records, a letter explaining why things have
become intolerable and £1,860.Once they arrive in Zurich the
individual must pay £620 for two appointments with the doctor and a
further £1,860 to pay for two Dignitas staff members to organise and
witness the death. In every case, for legal reasons, the patient must
be able to undertake the last act him or herself. 'I realised these
were possessions left behind by the dead. They had never been returned
to family members. Minelli made his patients sign forms saying the
possessions were now the property of Dignitas and then sold everything
on to pawn and second-hand shops."
So, those were the 3 jobs that surprised me and looked weird enough. The strangest thing is that, not only they are making their loopholes even after the laws, the serious thing is that, they are getting paid for their activities which is far more dangerous.
And what can be said about the dangers for human? The phrase "You should never lose hope" comes to death when they are arranging Death for you. We were supposed to make the world a better place to live! but how unfair, we're making it the worst place to live!

NO! NO! NO!
The Loop doesn't encourage you to take illegal drugs. They perform harm reduction!
Festivals are a hotspot for drug use and abuse.
What The Loop is doing is a professional test if there are bad substances in your sample. Eg. you think you have MDMA but actually it is some kind of bad Amphetamine (I know MDMA is a type of Amphetamine).
You as a user go to their place and leave a sample which they test and publically announce whether it is safe or not or it is too strong and so on... They know drugs are being taken and nobody can prevent this so why not tell them if their drug is safe to take or not.
It is great to have them on festivals! There is CheckIt! In Austria which was does the same for ages.
I think they are doing great work because they prevent much harm and deaths!
Wiedy
Absolutely true @wiedy . As I said in my post, it appears to be a good work but imagine what number of people would feel fearless and wouldn't work to remove their bad addictions? That's the point. Of-course they may be doing a great work but their work just promotes even more dangers!
"You might be questioning yourself, how it can be bad when their duty is for our good? Actually, the usage of drugs should be discouraged and when there are services like this, then who do you expect to leave such bad habits? They'll become dependent on those tests, and consume the drugs even more!"
I am sorry but I have to disagree again. lets take Portugal as example, they legalised all drugs and the usage decreased!
They definately help more then harm
@princewahaj, I really could not believe such agencies exist in this world. It is weird and sick to say the least.
Data btokers... How can they do it?. Is money everything? I don't understand this world.
Digital looks more like voluntary Euthanasia, that's happening in some countries. Weird it might seem, but then it is better than suffering every moment on earth.
The safe drug usage, seems like we are legalizing the drug abuse, giving it a stamp of approval from the medical community.
All I can say, our world is getting more weirder by the day ... Thanks for bringing this up. Got a peek into the dark underbelly of our society.
Mindblown. When I was reading the first one, I thought it couldn't get worse but it did. The assisted death part was seriously messed up. Having to pay exorbitant fees to die and then getting your properties sold off.. Just wow x.x
The last one... clusterfuck.
Really Really interesting . your thoughts about posting is so different . Keep it up man
As a matter of fact, assisted suicide is legal in a few European countries (Belgium, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, possibly others). As for Dignitas, the biggest problem are the fees. Most of the patients that go there are terminally ill and they usually go with their family, so basically there is no question of them selling their belongings. (I do not have much experience as a Steemian, but as a former journalist I must advise you not to trust everything you find in the tabloid press.)
If you are interested in the subject, you should watch the late Terry Pratchett's documentary Choosing to Die, who at some point considered ending his life at Dignitas.
@ladyrebecca You have a point but @steemist said it all. I appreciate your feedback anyways!
"Choosing to Die", I honestly think that every person is born with some unique skills to serve not only himself but also the others so choosing to die means he is being hopeless! There were lot of so-called terminal illness in the past but their remedies are invented with time. So losing hope is worst a person can do. It takes courage to live with hardships.
But I respect your opinion.
That's the whole point, it is about people that are hopeless, people that are in great pain and know that suffering is all that lies ahead for them. At this point, there is no more helping the others. On the contrary, by chosing to die you do your loved ones a favor. Watching someone die of cancer is horrible, believe me.
Sure, maybe in the future cancer will no longer be terminal, I certainly hope so, but unfortunately people that ask for euthanasia cannot wait for that future. Their future is a few more months, maybe years of misery, with no quality of life to speak of and no dignity, hence the name of the Swiss clinic.
Sorry if I got carried away, I am very touchy on the subject, but on the other hand we are hear to talk and share our views. By the way, the documentary I mentioned earlier did show different point of views. People with the same disease and prognosis - one wanted to die, the other to live. The idea is to have a choice.
I think such people should accept their fate (just like most patients do) and they should believe that duration of lives of all people are decided therefore, they can't live less than decided for them by the God! (assuming he's not an atheist). At-least that's my take.
But well, lets agree to disagree.
Nice article dude.
