The new year is perfect time to set goals. The term of the calender clearly signals the opportunities for fresh start, the chance to grow and finally accomplish better, but oftentimes many of us fail the New Year resolutions we set.

Failure to achieve our New Year resolutions can be attributed to numerous things , from increase in work load to an unforeseen illness. Life is full of unpredictable roadblocks and challenges these often things we can control along the way to accomplish goals.

One thing we can control is how specific our resolutions are, for example if your goal is to exercise more is very hard to commit such a vague statement it will also be hard to quantify your success. But if your goal is something more specific like losing 20 pounds it will be easier because you can measure your progress.

It's also wise to set goals that can be broken down into smaller chunks. You don't have to lose those 20 pounds in One Month that goal will be difficult to accomplish which would make it even harder for you to stay motivated perhaps you could break those 20 pounds down into lose three pounds per month. Now the task seems less daunting and you will more likely to achieve it. The late Jim Rohn said *>"success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines practiced everyday" * oftentimes we get tied up with ideas that success equates to immense accomplishments. Like starting a business or buying a home we tend to forget that success doesn't happen over night every achievement is the result of succession of a smaller victories.

Another integral parts of staying on track to attain our goals is finding the right people to keep us accountable.

Think about who these people are in your life and how they will influence you through out the year the question is will they help you guide you achieving your dreams? Or will they hinder your progress? Find friends and family you can count on tell them what your goals are device plan to keep yourself accountable with the right people around anything is possible.

The final thing we can control is our attitude as the year progress keep in mind how you are reacting to the event around you, and how your behaviour affects what you want to accomplish obstacles are inevitable but that separate being average from being great to how we respond to the challenges we face, read more or try new experience that push you out of your comfort zone .
After all, you are creating the framework for your success in the New Year. Through out the year refer back to this guild to keep yourself accountable I believe this guild can help you get there good luck
