We live in an information society, the exchange of information that can be achieved as quickly as possible. To survive, we need to be connected and, above all, keep pace with the changes that take place around us in the way the technology is developing. We can no longer live as our ancestors, we must accept evolution and progress as part of our daily lives.
Thus, "smart" phones help us keep up with the alert rhythm of our existence. Everything is at your fingertips: business people can instantly read emails, communicate and interact with social networks, read, play, discover all sorts of applications, some that seem to us to be useless.
But the question arises: what is the line between normality and addiction? We have a cell phone, or does our mobile phone have us? There are people who admit that they can not imagine their lives without the mobile phone, but it is a simple communication tool for them, as well as people dependent in one way or another.
When face-to-face direct communication becomes an option, not a priority, and at bar, restaurants, cafes, you can not stay without the phone, see what notice you have on Facebook, then you can say that in one the phone holds you. This power is especially manifested in the tendencies of some people to post in the virtual environment as much as possible from what they do.
No sunrise is nicer in the pixels in the picture taken with the Iphone than in reality. Reality will always be more beautiful than the virtual environment, in its imperfection. When you see a sunrise or sunset with gorgeous shades and feel your soul somehow cleaner, how do you remember that you need to take a picture of it with your phone? At first, he admired him, with his own eyes, not behind the phone screen. When you eat a cake, the photo you want to post on Facebook does not compare to its true taste.
People next to us - of flesh and bones who know when our day is without remembering Facebook about it, which would respond to a call and three nights, ready for help if needed - are neglected when we spend time with them, because we can not just give them that time, we sit with the mobile phone in their hands, and they look at us disoriented, waiting to look at them too ... Notice that today they are more sad, not to take good saying they are "okay". Our mothers have no inner satisfaction when we post pictures with their cakes, they want a hug. Our lovers and lovers are not turning away from jealousy when we talk to other people in the online environment when we are with them, but because their time should be spent only with them. And so, we think these people will always be with us, but somehow they forget about it, losing us in the online space
"I'm afraid of the day the technology will be more important as a human relationship. There will be a generation of idiots in the world. "
We seem to have reached this point. We somehow socialize all these social networks, let them occupy an important place in our lives, and we act like robots - emotionally cold - with the people next to us.
Albert Einstein's was 1000% right!!!
It is a serious concern, particularly when you have a room full of people and every one is on their phones and there is no social interaction between people. I worry for children who may miss out on the ability in interact with others.
The best way it's to not let the children to play with technology more then 20 min a day :)
How true. I limit my grand children's use of their phones.Have them play outside and away from gaming machines etc. Does help to set some limits.
👍😉
Thanks
Perfect Right👍
Thank you
Lol... Honestly, it's really a serious addiction one having to be glued to his phone all the time and tend to forget the things that should be the top priority in our lives.
I for one is addicted and sometimes look like what "Albert" described. Lol.. I admit!
It's important we place proportion to it in order to strike a balance with our real world activities.
@pulsar, you good! Thanks for this reminder... Lol..
We have to use the smart phone only when need it, not 15 hour a day.
