Skulls in the Grass

While meandering through the Montana wilderness searching for mushrooms, I found these ivory treasures along the way.

This is a deer skull, no antlers so must be a female.

And this is a beaver skull. It is missing one front tooth.

It's quite amazing how many bones and skulls I find in the bush. They are everywhere!

We have a large fox den nearby and often visit it just to see the collection of skulls. Turkey, mink, squirrel, rabbit, and deer frequently found outside the den. I grew up near a defunct dairy farm and had many cow skulls in the lake.

Nice..also in Montana and love to wander the hills and prairies....so many treasures..including the big sky!
