I think that assisted suicide is wrong, disgusting in fact, people have lived their entire lives and in the end this is how they want to die? To be put down in a clinic like animals? I think that people should die naturally, or honorably in a war perhaps.
When I'm saying that assisted suicide is wrong I'm talking about the people who go to these clinics for no ‘real’ reason, almost 80% of the people who go to these clinics are depressed and don't really have a good reason to go the clinics. The people who have the right to go to these clinics are the people who suffer almost everyday, the people who have an illness that makes it very hard to live, why should they suffer daily when they can just end the suffering? Those are the people who should go to these clinics.
There are also young depressed people who to the clinics, and I think that that's just sad, those people are still young and have their whole lives ahead of them, one of those young people could even live on and cure cancer! Who knows? Some people go to these clinics without informing anyone of there whereabouts, in this case the 85 year old woman just left without informing anyone and eventually the police were involved.
Just imagine the shock the family had when they got that knock on their doorstep. To see someone they really loved turned into ashes with a death certificate too. So just imagine the pain and depression the family felt inside, perhaps they didn't even say goodbye. It's just sad.
If you go to these clinics behind your families back to kill yourself over a breakup or a stupid situation then you’re just a sick person who is just giving out more depression to your family members.
Assisted suicide is just wrong, and the countries who are allowing this need to get their priorities straight, because they are both losing money and population and are recieving a bad reputation.
