I had a very nice story written about the time a deer ran in front of my car and mangled it up pretty good. I worked on graphics and text for about 4 hours today and clicked post. Bam, I saw my post go up on the "new" tab already with blue upvote from author. Something was strange about this because my posts always default to my "blog" screen. From the "new" screen I clicked on my avatar and clicked "blog" link...much to my surprise, my post wasn't there. I went back to new and scrolled down to see if it was there. Lo and behold, it wasn't there either! After doing a bit of research, I find that this has been happening to other community members as well. My recommendation, and what I am going to start doing in the future, typing my posts in a much safer platform. I believe I will use google docs. I have never had any issues with it and I can access it from any computer, anytime, anywhere.
Here Is my previous post "Cliff Notes".
Driving to work in the car my dad gave me 16 years ago, that he bought from my grandpa 20 years ago, that my grandpa bought brand new 26 years ago, I hit a deer.
The hood and fender don't quite line up but it defiantly looks better than before. Not owning any pro frame straighten tools, I had to use a 4000lb wench to pull the body out as straight as I could. Luckily there was no suspension, alignment, damage, the car drove perfectly fine after the incident.
Shortly after all of that, I replaced the serpentine belt, brake master cylinder, front pads and rotors, water pump, ignition control module, spark plugs and wires...Thats all I can remember. All that for another 10,000 miles before I threw in the towel! I purchased a newer, used car in January 2017. Knock on wood with me, I haven't seen a deer anywhere near my car!
Thanks for reading, upvoting, following, and resteeming. I apologize for losing the original version, it was much more of an engaging story for you word connoisseurs out there, I don't have the energy to do it over. I hope that you enjoyed the "cliff notes", and learned from my mistakes, don't hit a deer with your car, and always, Always, backup your work before posting! Where was that advice my first day of Steemit?

I had one of these rear end me a couple years back, shortly after we got our Durango. It was totaled, luckily the Durango only had a scuff, or two on the rear bumper. Glad to see your Buick was salvageable.
You had a Buick or a Deer rear end you? lol.
LOL A Buick......but it sure didn't look like a Buick afterwards
Thank you all for your votes, especially @minnowsupport!
