Growing up as a child, to say I was stubborn was to say the least. The mention of my name was always synonymous with problems.
Knock knock on our door.. Ma your Son(me) has broken my child's head, leg, or hand..
Each time I get to the field to play football with my mates, if they don't choose me to play, I'll either obstruct the game or run away with the ball..
My Parents and then my Grandmum(May he soul rest in perfect peace) takes turns on who I would live with at intervals because non of them can bear my sustained heat continuously.
Whenever my Grandmum was tired she beckons on my Mum to come take me away to Lagos before I will send her to untimely grave(as she always said). When my Mum was fed up she looks around for who else can handle me. Sometimes I would be the one to raise false alarm to my Grandma through a letter I'll send to her that I overheard my Mum discussing with someone that she would look for who to come take me away and I'll never return because I was too stubborn, and immediately my Grandma because of the soft spot she had for me would send any of my Uncle on a rescue mission to bring me back to her.
On two separate occasions I was taken to a remand home/child welfare center and they shaved my hair with razor blades and gave me 36 nonstop strokes of the cane..This made me even tougher..
In 1989 I was taken to my Aunt in Jos whom I was told was an expert in handling stubborn children, I also went with the hope of becoming a better person, but just after a year(1990) she brought me back and these were her exact words "This one pass my power abeg, I no fit again, make una take una son before him kill me"..
At this point everyone has given up on the possibility of my redemption, I personally was tired too because I wish I could turn a new leaf.. And then I saw the scripture below though in the King James version..

This was the beginning of a new life for me, I became totally changed and transformed. The story became different. They could no longer talk about someone who is calm, peaceful and loving without mentioning my name. I became everything positive that my entire family put together could not compel me to become. Anyone I want to go visit previously was usually afraid, but suddenly they beg me to come visiting because I became a beauty to be associated with..
See what the Word of God can do..
Parents/guardians hear(read) this, no amount of beating or intimidation would transform that child that you've tagged stubborn, irresponsible or wayward, it would only harden them to the extent that they would now see it as "the worst you can do".. My parents didn't know it was possible to use the word of God to change me quite earlier, they found out a bit later, they thought using force or negative words would do the magic. I discovered that by my self and I began to use it until I became a changed person.
Even in people's worst state learn to confess positivity in line with what you desire to see and after that, this should be your next line of action below..
