Many times we forget our roots, where we come from and who we are. We lock ourselves in thinking that everything I have is mine and we forget that life is a gift.
Greetings dear steemitnauts. I wish you much prosperity.

I was recently reading a publication of @metama, in which he proposes to make an exercise of gratitude as an exercise.

And this proposal seemed very interesting because we should not forget those people who have played a strong role in our lives. And others that although they did not consciously marked you and helped you grow.
And then I'll start my diary, of course, picking up that past that made me get here. Today I will not talk about my parents, I will devote separate chapters to them. I'll talk about Romelia Imery, my Godmother. Romelia was a very hard woman, she was the Director of the School where I studied my elementary school. I think that's where my older brothers studied. There was a link through cousins of my mother, who lived with her and worked in the school.
Through Romelia, my religious inclination was greatly nourished. The school was from the Parish and being in the School or in the Church was almost the same. And although today I am not a religious person, I try to maintain spirituality in my life.
From her I learned the dedication, to dedicate myself to something totally, and above all to enjoy it. And that has helped me a lot in my life since I have enjoyed each of the areas in which I have worked, in order to do the best I can.
Another thing that I always saw in her, was integrity, and that was not selling to the highest bidder or being next to someone for convenience or for what you can perceive of her.
I always remember an anecdote that happened to me with her. That day I went to his office and I found her writing on her Remington machine, reading what I was writing on a page and still talking to me, without stopping doing the above. And I asked him how he did it and he told me "in what he did, none of the senses crossed". Then I learned that the human being is able to do many things and that we put our limitations ourselves.

For these things, I will never forget Romelia, my godmother, my teacher and I will always be grateful to her.
Great read thank you. We don't always learn everything we need from our parents or even family. Sometimes we learn things from personal mentors, teachers, friends along the path we call life.
Thank you for reminding me I have a ot to be greatful for.
Sincerely,
