I don't know if it's true, but they used to say that on my fathers' side of the family, syndactyly (a condition wherein two or more digits are fused together) was a possibility to get and they said that it's why our last name is Duckers... Could've been a joke by them, not sure, they used to try to make us believe weirds stuff...

Oh my goodness! So will you ever find out if that’s true? That would be some joke if it’s not considering your last name. I have heard of syndactyly and have seen pictures of babies with it.
I was told that my fathers uncle had skin in between some of his toes and that it was a thing that ran in the family... I will ask my mother if it was a joke or not when I see her, my father died a long time ago and also his parents and the uncle.
