Just like they did in Presidential election, the celebrities are using their podiums to push their own agenda. Although a valid agenda, the #metoo craze had gone.....well crazy.
The sexual misconduct issues in Hollywood are no question a serious issue. But many celebrities use the big issues to vault themselves into a higher status.
Why do we look up to celebrities as an “All
Knowledgeable” intelligent being whom we should take advice from? Many people fall trap to their glamour and glitz and just assume that since they’re rich and famous, they must know what they’re talking about.
Some celebrities however, take it to such an extreme that if you’re not paying attention to them, they literally meltdown. Which I find quite entertaining. Rosie...oh Rosie.....
They attack our politicians whom they claim have no interest in our good fortune and only change laws to line their own pockets, yet I get the feeling that many of the super rich celebrities do the exact same thing.
If we really want to address the sexual misconduct in the workplace, why are we not addressing the the people that promote objectifying women? Namely....celebrities.
Today’s movies, music, reality tv, all push objectification. If they want to really change it, they wouldn’t allow many rap videos or movies to be made. Quit taking the part in the movies!
Nicole Arbour made a great statement after the golden globes. I’ll let you decide what you think. It was dripping with hypocrisy in my eyes. Here’s a screenshot.
Have to admit it...She’s seriously Hot in that outfit. Objectification or compliment?
Please don’t buy into the celebrity craze, they’re still in it for themselves. Instead, help the ones that really need it and be a lookout for true discrimination.
