I finally came across this picture again that I couldn't find. Most people think about the role of women in war as having been in safe hospitals or offices in the rear rather than in forward positions. This photo was taken a couple of miles from the Cambodian border- "out in the shit." These women were as brave as anyone else that served and deserve to be honored...

In all wars the nursing core are right behind the front line, at the time the troops are very grateful, when hostility is over they the forgotten few.
They deserve every accolade that can be given.
