Sometimes bad experiences also teach us different things in life

in #life7 years ago (edited)

We all go through some bad experiences in our lives different stages. Interestingly, different people may react to same situations differently. It’s because everybody has a different life story and it’s the ups and downs of their stories that give them their identity. These lessons aren’t part of any class curriculum. They are taught between the lines — picked up through pain and need and faulty action. They are unwavering truths of life we often forget but more often dismiss. It’s true. Your experiences, whether they are good or bad, make you who you are and there is nothing that you should regret in your life about because these bad experiences have their own way of making you strong and are ready for greater life challenges the next time. At times, these bad experiences also make you feel happy and content later. You just have to deal with them the right way.

Gives you great lessons

Sometimes it may not be bad for what we think is bad for ourselves. They give us a big lesson. Maybe it is very painful for us, but the results are fruitful.Even you can share your experience with others and raise awareness among them.Who knows, you might also end up inspiring people with your bad experiences.

Gives you confidence

We always see many successful people giving examples of their past mistakes or success. They encourage others with their past example. Just like this, your bad experience might become part of a story in the future. Maybe many people get many motivations through that story. Those bad experiences are exactly what has made him believe in himself with time! Not everybody grows up in a household that successfully makes them believe in them. Occasionally bad experiences force to take many decisions in the way of life, might be very effective in the future.

Makes you grow

Know that bad experiences can happen to anybody. You don’t have to be a good person to avoid bad experiences. Life is unfair to many people and the truth is that it’s all about learning how to deal with life. It will keep throwing challenges at you and put you in situations where you wouldn’t want to be, but getting out of your comfort zone is exactly what will make you grow. You have to learn to deal with situations in a way that you feel good about it in the end. Sometimes, that will take a lot of efforts and a whole lot of emotions to go through it, but once you succeed, you will be so much more satisfied. It will surprise you.

Gives you a different Perspective

With time, you start seeing these situations in a bigger perspective. You start analyzing things differently and eventually know what to expect and what not to expect. Moreover, you are clear about how to react and how to think about a certain thing. So where the bad experience takes place in your personal life or in your professional life, it grooms you in both your lives. You will be getting stronger as a person, in every role of your life.

Makes you control your emotions

When bad experiences hit you the first time, it's really hard to contain your feelings. Sometimes you may feel hyper, sad, worried, tensed, angry, blank and many more emotions which might make you take decisions irrationally which you have to regret later. Remember that if you turn this regret into a lesson, it will give positive results. But if you take it as regret, it will affect you negatively. With time, you will be able to control your emotions and be calm and clear in your thoughts. It not only makes you take the right decisions in life but it also defines your personality and inspires others.

We learn more from bad experiences.

I liked, well done .. good tips
Great post from you
Thanks for sharing‏

Bad times are what good times are made of! I too believe that bad times are like enemies in an RPG or something, once you defeat the enemy (get over it), you'll learn and thus earn gold and experience. This is of course over-simplified but makes sense to me! We can't grow without the falling over now and then.

Also, the last paragraph is written twice, you should probably change that!

Thanks for point out...

rishan sir how you reached at this level?
please help sir

What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.

I strongly agree with this sentiment. Life will always throw us some curve balls, but it is important for us to show resilience. In fact, some of my proudest moments include overcoming unexpected challenges!

Our experiences shape our future.

We can say that we have truly evolved as a species when we manage to control our emotions!

Great post @rishan. Do you think that bad experiences will happen again if we don't learn from them? Seems like this happens a lot when people don't gain prospective on the bad experiences and life lessons.

Really interestng post

Best practice is something that if done correctly works more often than not.

Best practice is the result of experience and of course experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.

We have to fail to move forward, falling down is a part of standing up.

Bad experiences sometimes help us to know the reality of the people around us. They make us strong and open a new door for us. A hidden door that we wouldnt discover without any bad experience. They can make us feel week and hurt. But after the weakness, strength will come.

Every time you go through a hard situation, you will be more matured and confident. hard time is really needed to our life, to understand the surroundings we have. It also helps us to find out the right and real good wisher of our life. We should never frustrated on hard time, just take it easy and learn how to deal the situation like this.

I learnt the greatest lesson of my life with my biggest mistake & although I have forgiven myself for it, I am still living the consequences today... Hoping for the best and have faith that things will be better in the future keep me going everyday!

Very valuable advices in your post and I wish I read it when I was overcoming the trauma of losing my first child..

“Success in life is the result of good judgment. Good judgment is usually the result of experience. Experience is usually the result of bad judgment.” - Tony Robbins

We can either live to avoid the pain...or to seek the pleasure of success. Failures in life are inevitable and it's important to embrace our failures as we do our success.

Alan Watts explains it best by explaining that people tend to focus on the peaks of life without understanding that they cannot exist without the valleys. It's easier to embrace our failure and low points in life with the understanding that one cannot exist without the other. Our peaks cannot exist without valleys. It is our suffering that allows the opportunity to experience joy.

That's what growing up is about! I want to share one of my lessons!
My bad experience was in an Adidas shoe Store.
Back then I was looking for a summer job, and I found it there.
One thing that I felt fishy about the store was that the sign "Looking for staff", was always hung at the store window.
So I worked there for 3 months, I was hired under the tittle of "Seller" but that was one of the many jobs they asked me to do.
I painted, cleaned the floors and what not.
In the end they didn't even pay me my full payout.
So you maybe wondering, what was your lesson?
If a company is always looking and rotating staff, RUN FROM THAT PLACE ASAP!

I totally agree that bad experiences makes us stronger. It doesn't feel good at the time it's happening, but it has benefits later. Thanks for this (((hugs)))

The only time we loose is when we loose the lesson

Taking the challenge to risk failure is the best way to succeed.
