At the age of 23 I broke by neck becoming a quadriplegic, paralysed from the neck down. As a very physically active young man, obsessed with physicality as most young people are, suicide seemed the only way to avoid a life not worth living. Looking back over 25 years later, how wrong I was.
My fiancé at the time Jenny married me and we have lived together ever since and we have a wonderful daughter Katherine who is now 20 years of age.
In the years after my accident, despite doing poorly at school, I went on to complete degrees in history and politics and law, surprising everyone with my determination to succeed.
With an interest in politics, I served two terms on my local council and one term as a Member of Parliament in the State Legislature.
On top of all the individual joys life has given me I have also wondered at big changes in the world, with the coming of the internet and now the emergence of cryptocurrency, two massive technological transformations.
I have been going through a rough patch recently, financially and physically, but I would never consider giving up on life, and neither should you!

8 years ago i tried to do a suicide for 2 times. Now i look back and think - what the hell i was thinking about?!?!
Life is a beautiful journey. Enjoy it and be grateful about every second of your life! I am. I hope someday everyone will be :)
