Agree a lot with what you say. Nevertheless, life is far more competitive for the current generation when compared withe previous generation. I think of all in my dad's generation who were working office goers - they seldom faced a threat of performance appraisals, layoffs, work pressure beyond 9-5 hours (most of the worked in the public sector) and it was easier separating work and life... whereas now it's getting increasingly harder... of course, you can opt out of the rat race and do your own thing but then that too will have it's own set of challenges..
All that being said, somewhere we need to draw a line, take a breath and realise, we have just one life and to enjoy id .. AFter all..life isn't about racing to get to the end... ..which btw is just a grave for all of us.. it's about the journey
I agree with everything you say. The world has evolved in such a way that it has become necessary to put in the extra effort just to survive even. But yes, we should look to take breaks and pauses whenever we can because the other aspects of life as just as important.
