Chioma Okoro seemed to have everything every young girl would desire in life. She was a very beautiful girl with a nice body. She was very rich and her clothes were better than all her friends, her school uniforms were much and all new not like the tattered and rough looking ones some students had. Chioma was also very clever and without much stress she always came first in all her examinations and it started getting into her head. Her classmates didn't like her anymore because of the way she carried herself. She was just too good and clever and became very proud people started avoiding her and she seemed not to be bothered about it because she had money and everything she needed.
One of her classmate, Joy advised Chioma to stop being proud that it isn't a good thing and people would hate her for it but Chioma took an offense to that and quarreled with Joy. Then it was the end of the term, exams was about to start and Chioma fell ill she was hospitalized and nobody came to visit her not even her teachers because she was also rude to them. Her mother was wondering and asked Chioma if she didn't have any friends. She didn't respond, then chiomas mother went to her school and was yelling at the teachers that they couldn't even visit her when they knew she was ill and they told her how rude and proud her daughter was.

She apologised and promised to talk to her then they followed her to the hospital where Chioma was admitted to see her. When Chioma saw them she covered her face and her mother asked her to apologise to them. She did and promised to be good. She got better and resumed school the teacher gathered the students and told them chioma wanted to speak to them they were all surprised and wondering what she had to say so she came up was shy at first but summoned the courage and started apologising for being proud and rude that she has learnt her lesson that being proud is bad and having friends is important. They all clapped for her and gathered together and hugged her.
In conclusion, being proud is not a good thing. It chases people away from us, so let's all be humble because humility pays.
