Considering that the solar system is moving at - what - 800,000 km/h I might be stuck in the middle of space or on some other world should a time machine be able to thrust me forward or backward into time....

I gave this some thought. I would definitely go into the future because I want to meet some androids that aren't phones :)
I guess 10,000 in the future, assuming I can get back again. If I can't get back, 10,000 into the past might be better.
