hi steemians, this is my latest work which took me about 3-4 hrs to complete. The whole journey of sketching this portrait was really blissful. i used graphite pencil for light shading and charcoal(literally charcoal, made by burning wood in deficiency of oxygen) for dark tones. Although the charcoal i used was made by me, it worked really well, the texture was good, it smudges really nicely and it also erases easily. i haven't worked with branded compressed charcoal blocks so i haven't got any reference for comparison. Overall i really enjoyed using charcoal....
hope u like it...

WOW! truly amazing. A woman's body is a great piece of art and nothing in the universe can justify the eminence of it .
On a serious note I wish you have made her bossoms much bigger because there is nothing a man loves more than a nice big bossoms.

Awesome painting.
thank you so much @gauss01
Nice work. I have made my own charcoal before by making a roaring fire and then putting it out at the right time with water. I was using it more for cooking at the time. I have never tried drawing with diy charcoal other than drawing on rocks at the river, but I'm glad to know it produces a nice effect on paper. Followed for more. Have a great day! :)
you need to check them before using. some woods aren't burnt well so they don't mark well and may scratch paper. some well burnt charcoal are really soft and marks really well producing nice texture..... thanks for following.... followed back... :)
Thanks. Good to know
