Sakura - The day when Japanese cherry blossoms

in #life7 years ago

Japan specifically celebrates the awakening of the spring. They eagerly await the traditional Sakura holiday or the day of the cherry tree blossom, a special kind of Japanese cherry Prunus serrulata. Other names are oriental cherry, east-Asian cherry or Japanese cherry, and belongs to the type of low-growing tree that grows and develops to a height of 8 to 12 meters.

The arms of this wood are provided horizontally in relation to the ground, with leaflets of 5 to 13 cm in length, and 2.5 to 6.5 cm in width. What is amazing every year to the people of Japan are the flowers of this tree, whose buds and petals are eagerly awaiting every season, so at the time of the flowering they do not plan important meetings, congresses or fairs, rather than going to the parks and simply enjoying the observation of the opening of cherry petals.

The flowers of Japanese cherry are white and pink in color. They have 5 delicate petals, which remind you of the flowers of home cherries.

This tradition is long and its beginnings go far back to the past, that is, in the Heian period (794-1185), when the cultivation of cherries began, and above all, to the beauty of its flower, which was a common motif in Japanese art.

Symbolically, in Japan, the cherry blossoms are associated with transience ... beauty, youth, moment .... As the flower is believed to be a success in life, young people in Japan are happy to spend one full day under cherry blossoms tree believing they will be very happy in marriage. In China this flower is compared with femininity and female side of love.
