I, a young boy from Dhaka, love to call myself a white coated bohemian. Some might stumble to hear what this white coat refers to! Haha, that’s as my life has mostly been circling within a hospital and a med school. So yeah, I am a med student currently with a head full of bohemian dreams and that is me, out of my own league. I attribute myself as one as my interests include travelling, reading books, calligraphy, photography, music, creative writing, motor vehicles and only music taste matches the interest with my friends and so in others I am a lonely wolf.
A view of my Life
My childhood was mostly spent around my neighborhood, having a large peer group which still exists. Playing cricket, football, cycling and running these are all I did while growing up apart from watching cartoon network and spending my hours in the computer playing Need For Speed. School schedules were just passing time while making friends and talking about this and that with my buddies. That’s how a group of friends are built, right? But honestly, summer and winter times were the best. Going to the village, climbing trees, running after a cattle herd, visiting relatives with my grandparents and the most exciting part was listening to the folk tales my grandma used to tell me. Still some of which echo in my mind. Winter was most exciting for making a camp fire and sitting around it and listening to our elders speak. Those times made me feel that I am being an important part of the family as I used to be present in my elders chatting. Then again in the January, new year, new class, new teachers but my old friends. Thus my childhood came to an end.
Suddenly one day one of my friends brought an mp3 players in the school ( which was of course our gem in 2013 ) and he had bought a guitar recently. That’s the beginning of my love for music. Maybe the first song I listened that time was ‘Numb’ by Linkin Park. And my same buddy first introduced me to the books of Humayun Ahmed. And I a new chapter in my life begun.
And at the end of my school years and all through my college days, roaming around the city, exploring new ways of life around the city, new books in old book markets, restaurants and this quite is still going on and hopefully will be continued. Then I started my life in the med school with a view to explore more of the dimensions of human life.
In the pandemic, the time opened another window in my life, calligraphy and arts. Since then it has been another hobby with which I am engaged currently most of my times, exploring new ideas and experimenting those.
Me as a Person
I am pretty much talkative with a liberal point of view and just love to share my ideas and thoughts with others. And you are always welcome. I love making new friends and just crazy about travelling either solo or in a group. I enjoy exploring the little known things. Apart from that, playing guitar, getting out in the streets with my camera. Although my academic schedule is tight, if someone asks me ‘ How do you manage to do all these?’ I reply, ‘There is always time in my life for myself and what makes me what I am.’
About books, music and movies
I mostly love reading bengali books of writers like Ahmed Sofa, Satyajit Roy, Humayun Ahmed, Alauddin Al Azad, Syed Mujtaba Ali, Sunil Gangopadhyay among others. Not to mention the classic writers like Nazrul Islam, Ravindranath Tagore, Manik Bandopadhyay, Porshuram, Shibram Chakraborty, Shukumar Roy and others.
In music, I love mostly heavy songs but I also enjoy blues, blues rock but pop is hardly my thing. I prefer to listen to band music if the bands like Aurthohin, Warfaze, Owned, Karnival, Arekta Rock band, Iron maiden, Megadeth, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Electric Guest, Led Zeppelin etc. Some of my favourite artists include Eric Clapton, B B King, Bassbaba Sumon, Victor Wooten, Bruce Dickinson, Dave Mustaine, Van Hallen.
About movies, I like thrillers and bengali art films. I am not much biased on the movies of particular directors. I love watching whatever I enjoy. Also biopics, animated movies and movies based on wars are also of my type.
That’s basically the individual who I see myself as and gradually I hope to share more of my experiences and views.
Keep doing what you love.

I listened to numb around 2006-2007 probably, it was late in my high-school years. Although I first fell in love with Linkin Park with 'In the end'. I didn't realize the meaning until many years later.
