People often look at me and wonder why I'm always wearing a smile on face, there are some who remember me solely for my smile and when I'm asked why smile almost all time I even lack words to explain the reasons for my smiles with. Often I'll tell some that "for every reason I have to be sad and unhappy I have a thousand and one reason to smile."
Today I want to unveil one of my trillion load of reasons to smile; family!
I consider myself blessed each time I take a leaf out of my busy head to reminisce on my family. When I look back at where we've been, where we are now and where we are headed to, I can't help but smile and that's why Men May Not Understand.
Each time I look behind, just above my shoulder and see the person standing right behind me, the one I call A STANDARD, I know that God indeed loves me and that alone is another reason to smile. Having a younger sister in the Mould of Ibu Faith is a blessing on its own and it is one I count twice whenever I name my blessings one by one.
SHE'S A STANDARD!!
Sometimes life and people overwhelms you so much that even the words with which you deem fit to really paint the perfect picture about how you feel about certain people start shrinking out of your head, all of a sudden your vocabulary is littered with so many words and yet none perfectly suits your thoughts.... For today's occasion describing her as a STANDARD is the best route I can take because right now I am overwhelmed, awed and perplexed all at same time.
She has given me a standard with which I can motivate younger girls around me with. If she could do it then you can too. If she can set a target and work towards it without flinching then you too can. You too can build your life around Gods word, live differently from the current trends of society and still achieve your dreams.
In all of the memories we created together as siblings, living together alone through senior secondary till our graduation, she never let me down. I can't find a moment where I'd look back to and say "I was ashamed of this very act".
As you move into what is called " The Prime of One's life" in football I pray that God gives you all of the different valuable spokes you need in your wheel to succeed in life. May these spokes delivered to you by God guide you through to enable you make the best decisions that will catapult you into that next level of success and exploits. I pray that the grace and love that has kept us as a happy and understanding family will continue to work in your life this day and in the years ahead of you. Happy birthday to you my dearly beloved!
