How best can you describe steemit? Steemit to me is a social media site that is built on the steem blockchain. In layman terms, one can simply put that steemit is a website that people can earn money by creating original quality contents.
The layman definition is what brought many steemians on this site and while some are yet to fully grasp what the whole place is all about some have fully understood how the system works. STEEMIT IS ALL ABOUT CREATING RELATIONSHIPS.
When you join steemit, it's either you come in with a lot of money to invest in steem and eventually have the steem power to play around with or you start blogging from scratch and hope to earn from it. Of course, 80 to 90% of the newbies are new to writing and lack proper blogging knowledge. I am definitely one of them and I'm improving slightly every week.
With the ever-growing list of active users on the community, getting noticed by whales, dolphins and some minnows supporting community accounts becomes harder for most.
Creating quality content most times isn't the only yardstick for earning.
You have to create real relations alongside creating your original quality contents.
Relationships don't just happen, they are built and building a relationship takes two or more persons. There's a popular saying in my part of the world that says
"no man is an island".
You need to endear yourself to people by;
- Developing a Niche: Blog or write about things that you really like, stuff that is capable of triggering your emotions.
- Find people who are writing about stuff you like. Engage them by leaving meaning comments on their blog posts.
- Find them on Discord, telegram or WhatsApp. Create a real bond by constantly checking up on them...
- Join different servers and communities on discord and other social media platforms. Make sure you engage with other steemians.
- Make real friends.
At the end of the day, you'll have hundreds of followers but only your true friends will constantly check out your blog.
I am an extreme introvert, I spend most of my day indoors in real life and that has been my undoing on the platform. I have solely depended on bots for upvotes all this time. But that doesn't mean I haven't made friends, I have but not in the capacity that one would feel proud of. Most of the friends I've made thus far have been newbie steemians whom I've helped to put through the paces as they join the communities that I also happen to be in and also some other minnows whose contents I love. I've got no whale or dolphin friends...now I'm ready to follow in the part of @belemo and suck their balls to get noticed.
Build Real Relationships, when you are faced with challenges it is humans that can help you come out of them and not bots.
@Julietisrael said these words to me a few weeks ago as she tried to encourage me to engage in discussions with the people in the communities I find myself on discord, Telegram and WhatsApp.
Ever since I heard those words I've decided to come off my shell, I've decided to not take pride in being an INTROVERT and using it as an excuse for not building meaningful relations. Even the whales with the large amount of sp have built solid relationships amongst themselves so why shouldn't you?
I'm taking advantage of this privilege that the steem blockchain has granted me to connect with people all over the world. This is a rare opportunity and I ain't letting it slip away but keeping the beauty of my person away from others...its time to gather bricks for those relations.
I remain your amateur writer @samirich, always open to corrections and suggestions to make me a better person and a better writer. Please don't hold back your constructive criticisms. Cheers!!
Hahahahahhahahahah this is deep. I just read the caption first and am laughing this hard.

@samirich Right thoughts mate..keep it up!
Hey! Thank you. From your reputation, it looks like you're new to the platform. Do take advantage of some of these tips. They'll help you grow faster...remember to start building solid relationships with humans.
i could relate to it, being an introvert can be hurdle in the path of expanding your social circle. glad that you are detaching yourself from it. best of luck for your upcoming steeming journey
It has been quite a hurdle for me and to a larger extent, it has been a huge limitation too.
Thanks for wishing me luck, keep siteeming and keep making your time here count.
