HIIT training and carb loading - take a look into it @exyle, it's interesting stuff and it does work! I'm not such a big fan of fancy dieting or having to calculate too many things so the carb loading didn't work for me but HIIT training is really good and it feels hardcore too!
I'm by no means a personal trainer, I'm purely speaking from my experience. I'm currently training full time in a fighting gym in Barcelona (long story, it's not my usual gig).
I would suggest you scrap the idea that you should focus on one part of you body. Instead try doing way more intense training sessions, maybe dial back how much you go, or the time you spend at each session, and introduce longer rest periods.
