The loss of a valuable possession has the propensity to stir up the craving for some supernatural power that would help in clicking the rewind button of life and this is geared towards an attempt to regain that which was lost.
As human, we aren't immune from losing one thing or the other. Sometimes, precious pearls worth dying for that tends to scribble bitter writing on the pages of our memoir. Sometimes, less valuable and we tend to forget them at the first taste of a cup of ice cream.
Keeping in mind that our lives isn't a movie, with privileges excessively bestowed on the director to flip the scenes back and forth just to attain perfection. Acknowledgement of this fact should fuel our desire to hold firmly, the gentle hands of Hope. Trusting that posterity would aid the yearning of one's heart in seeing the beautiful dots connect seamlessly in winning back that which strayed the path of the lost.
Striving not to make a home in the place of grief but taking a retrospective look at the occurrence and learning from the mistakes would amass a stockpile of experience that would most likely mitigate a repetition of the occurrence in the future if evitable.
I therefore urge anyone and everyone who may have lost something valuable never to dwell on the loss as this might toss their soul into the dungeon of REGRET.
Enjoy and make the best of all the good moments, for life is pretty short to keep harbouring regret and the best shot into the future is to drown every ill feeling from the past into the sea of OBLIVION.
