Possessing a skill at doing something exceptionally well is something worth applauding but sadly, it is insufficient to make one a complete success. You may have heard motivational speakers making emphasis on the need to find your talent and what you are good at doing well. Needful to say that it is very good and true for one to seek his or her talent and run with it passionately. Yet, I make bold to say that having a talent and the burning passion doesn't guarantee your success if and only if the attitude is terrible.
Attitude is the super seasoning that makes your skill, talent and passion a sweet smelling aroma to everyone and everything around you. The degree of impact attitude has on one's performance, work and career is extremely huge and it has the propensity to guarantee you greater success even when your skills and talent isn't up to scratch.
It is critically important for us to constantly run a daily assessment of our attitude as it has the potential to help us succeed more. Most often, people tend to be less conscious of their attitude and usually less sensitive to their attitude at every point in time. As human, it is very easy and natural for our sense organ to notify us when we sustain an injury and even when we are famished but being aware of our attitude sometimes requires some degree of work and personal discipline as it doesn't come natural for most people.
The mind is an amazing part of the human being that can be engineered or programmed in the most appropriate way on how to respond positively to happenings and the world around us. On a daily basis, we are bound to encounter several things that has the tendency to either make us smile or cry but how we respond to each of these events would be determined by our state of mind and attitude.
In the course of growing up, we tend to transform into a lot of different personality before we eventually settle into who we are as adult. While growing up, we would have gone through several phases and behavioural patterns which would eventually form part of who we have become as adults and some of these childhood beliefs, behavioural patterns and attitudes might still be stuck in our brain. Some might be very good while some others might be terrible. The onus falls on us to reevaluate and reassess our current self and attitude in the spirit of being a better person.
Attitude is the most germane ingredient in the recipe to becoming very successful in our career and work. It is what governs how the world around us perceives us and we perceive the world in turn. Your skills, talent and passion isn't sufficient in making you a success and even when you become successful without the right attitude, all of the success is most likely going to hit the rock at some point when your terrible attitude cannot sustain it any further.
Attitude is key to becoming a complete success!
