Young people might be easily caught in the horrible net of social media depression but it does in any exempt older people. Older people might just have the emotional capacity to handle and control how the usage of social network platform affect their lives. These problems tend to exacerbate depending on the number of hours spent on these platforms.

Curbing the negativity from social media can be greatly achieved by reducing the hours and time spent on them. Cutting down time will be most effective when it is substituted for something else that would add value to you. Life abhors vacuum and something must fill the space. The space of time you have successfully cut from social media interaction must be channelled towards other activity that will be beneficial to your life. This is usually not an easy step as it is well known that people who are used to spending more time social media are susceptible to becoming addicted and eliminating addiction requires a great deal of work and self discipline.
Be contented
Having a great sense of contentment with your life and developing self love irrespective of what is going on in the lives of others is an effective means of eliminating social media depressions. Acknowledging that time and chance happens to everyone would help to love your current self and also enjoy your life to the fullest because even happiness cannot be bought. Happiness is a choice you and only have to make and you owe yourself a duty to be happy regardless of how other people's life looks compared to yours.
