She was going in to get her tonsils and adenoids out at the same time.
Hope she will be doing fine after this, I had my son's adenoids removed last year, but the doctor advised not to remove tonsils as it was not necessary, even though its a common practice to remove them at one go.
To be honest I was not entirely convinced on why they were doing the tonsils as well but as you say, it seemed to be a while we are here attitude. She is out more and happy. She's quite resilient about it all!
