In March 2017, we (I and my friends from Aceh) traveled the holy trip to Mecca and Medina. My friend in Mecca served typical Arabic food, Beriyani Rice, to us.
A very big plate contained rice was served to us. There is so much meats of goat in the big sized plate. The meat is cut into pieces and mixed with rice. In the rice there is also a mixture of milk.
"This rice should be eaten by 6 peoples", said the Arabs. We were shocked when hearing and see it. We Indonesians are not able to eat up that much rice and meats. Too much for us. But for Arabs it is a common thing.
Before eating beriani rice the Arabs used to drink a tin of soft drink like Pepsi, 7 Up or Cola. Wow, it's really exciting.
The Arabic Beriyani Rice is available in Arabic restaurants in Jeddah, Riyadh and major cities in the Middle East.
