Cyber Trolling| How does it happen?

How does one hurt someone? Does it benefit you to intentionally hurt someone because of your false accusations? We all treasure friendship more than anything, friends whom we fight for and we are willing to listen whenever in need. But how does friendship be measured because of what others think say?

The internet is a great influence these days. Almost everything that we need to ask or want to know can be researched in the net.

But internet usage has been abused, it is one way of expressing our feelings and even emotions that people shouldn't know of are expressed through social media. Social media these days can be a great cause of fights, jealousy, bullying and stalking.

The reason for this post is an experience I had that just recently happend. I don't know if who it was meant but thanks to that person it gave me an idea about Cyber Trolling. Troll is an internet slang, which means a person who sows through the internet to start a fight. Upsets people through posting inflammatory, extraneous or off topic messages in an online community. Like in Group Chats, Newsgroup, Forum or in some Social Media or a blog. This is simply for the intent to provoke emotional response, a cause for a trolls amusement.

Trolling is associated by online harassment. Trolls in folklore are actually seen as unfriendly, antisocial and quarrelsome so that is the reason it was compared to trolls. Cyber trolling may have different back story, we must also consider that this people who trolls may be experiencing from anger, depression,an attention starved, sad, narcisstic, jealous or other emotions that is expressed online.

Where does trolling usually happens?

• In COMMENTS it could be in utube, blogs, facebook, twitter, instagram and any other social media. But utube is considered to be rank one when it come to cyber trolling. You can find the meanest or worse comments trolls give on videos. You can have a lot of viewers onutube and a lot of troll comments too.

• Forums this is created to discuss topics with other people. But trolls still find ways to give negative words, if they are not ban it can cause conflict between the members

• Email even through email this trolls spend time and effort to make a bad mail about you.

• Anonymous Social Networks I think this is the overused way for troll to spread it's curse. They use fake accounts or faceless profiles so they can give offending comments. They find it easy because they don't get any consequences of their action since they hidden their identity.

Cyber Trolls are all around. It could be a friend, a co-worker, a neighbor, or someone you don't know. There are kinds of trolls to deal with. But the best way to deal with them is ignore them. Fighting back or answering back will give them the satisfaction they are looking for, a quote I can always associate with this kind of situation " Misery Loves Company", trolls are just naturally miserable and they can't take that feeling that they are the only ones miserable and they can see other people happy. So by trolling they destroy other people, crush someone's heart, feed you emotionally until you become weak. But with this situation it made me think that this trolls are actually the ones suffering they just distract themselves by putting pain to others.

The best revenge is simply feed them with kindness. Complement them or appreciate them it is something that they least expect from you.

But if that doesn't work, might as well block or report the person to authorities. You don't need to keep bad vibes in your life, you know yourself more so don't be bothered by this kind of people. Cyber Trolling is Cyber Bullying, bullying is against the law so let us not tolerate this kind of people.

Great article classmate. I loved how you integrated your personal experience through cybertrolling. This issue is very timely because of social media usage.Everybody should know that social media should be an outlet for self development rather than to abuse an individuals psychological territory.

It would be better to solve issues personally. The more discreet you are in fixing personal issues the more it could be solved without gaining attention from everybody. Hahahaha si Nang Mayang pahuway sa siya kai weekend. Chill chill pa syas bos coffee
