Rae's famous homemaker character of Mrs. Garrett, adored for her understanding and intelligence, really started in 1978 amid the main period of NBC's "Diff'rent Strokes."
"Strokes" co-star Todd Bridges, who depicted Willis Jackson in the show, additionally shared his sympathies.
