Stingrays are amazing underwater creatures that seem to swim effortlessly. I find their beautiful colors fascinating and they captivate me with their dangerous tails.
I have had the good fortune to swim with stingrays in Grand Cayman. Most people who scuba dive know the famous 12 foot Stingray City dive. It is good to be able to interact with so many of them especially when you bring squid along. It is important to always remember to be careful where you step for obvious reasons. One of our group members got stung and her foot started bleeding quite profusely. Luckily, it was considered quite minimal and she recovered just fine. It is a good reminder to always respect all marine life and be prepared with a first aid kit.
