How Much Money Would It Take For You To Feel Rich @senseicat

in #life7 years ago

In the United States, most people strive to become a millionaire and quantify that amount as a lifetime goal. It is interesting because once you have reached that goal, the next step is to become a multi-millionaire.

The wish list seems to continually increase beginning with buying a home, sports car, vacation home, trips to exotic locations, top of the line cell phone, designer clothes, and a housekeeper or assistant to maintain the upkeep of all the stuff.

For me, money equates to security and freedom rather than acquiring more things. Actually, I am a very happy minimalist and prefer to spend time doing fun activities and creating memories than adding more objects into my surroundings. I keep a gratitude journal and the things that I am most grateful for are experiences with those I care about sincerely.

It’s not money that makes me feel rich— it’s loving relationships, personal growth, and creative expression that makes me feel free. I have found when I have purpose and meaning, a positive attitude, and openness to try new things, money will follow. I often think how I would use a great deal of wealth to solve important issues rising from poverty or loneliness.
I keep coming back to a positive attitude and purposeful living, not money.

Is it possible that every people in a nation can become rich? I wonder what will they do if there's no poor people around.

I agree with you! Some people overwork to become rich at the price of getting sick! It's such a shame!

It is truly important to live your life according to your values and prioritize your personal health.

If you don't have your health, you won't be able to enjoy the money that you spent so long trying to make. Enjoy everyday and celebrate the small victories in financial success and as you do so, remember that money is expendable, your body is not :)

anather lovely writing i see here its beautifull thank you for shareing...cyptocurrency is next generation future.@senseicat

Yes, there appears to be quite a bit of evidence to support that as so many mainstream financial sectors are integrating block chain and cryptocurrencies into their business models. Luckily, we are at the forefront of the new evolution of digital currencies.

There is a tracking index that is reported yearly and it was just released this week. It said that you would need at least $2.4 million to be considered wealthy this year. Like you say, the bar continues to be raised as the gap between rich and poor continues to increase.

"For me, money equates to security and freedom rather than acquiring more things."

A good moto.

"I keep a gratitude journal and the things that I am most grateful for are experiences with those I care about sincerely."

I've probably read about this graditude exercise a dozen times but I've never tried it out personally. Does it really help you like they say? What's your experience like?

Yes, I have been keeping a gratitude journal for years and it is an excellent way to remind ourselves of all the blessings in our lives. I write mine on a spreadsheet and the beauty is that you can organize it alphabetically is you wish. The number of lines dedicated to those I care about so much take up volumes. If you are having a bad day, it completely changes your outlook taking time to review your journal.

If it is just about feeling rich at the moment - I guess $1000 seems like a decent number for that for me.

in Venezuela you are rich with the average salary of someone in the United States

What are some examples of the salaries in Venezuela?

I agree with you. I am also a person that doesn't need much and prefers to enjoy experiences! To me, they are the most valuable thing someone can have and most of them you couldn't put a price tag on!

I just noticed @newhope as someone who supports your content but when I look at their page, it says they haven't started blogging yet but the account has over 200k Steem Power? Is my Steem just not loading that page correctly or is it the case @newhope hasn't posted yet?

Just trying to find interesting people that like the same content I do :) Your posts happen to be some of that kind of content I enjoy! :)

Thanks!

@senseicat The bad thing of money is not to have it, because you need it to spend it on food, dress, recreation for the family, health etc, but there must be a balance in your life, not to become a collectionist of things or i would say to be a compulsive buyer. When you die everything is left behind

Dear Senseicat,

A friend of my will organize a world cup contest around the world cup soccer starting half June. At this moment there is already a nice amount for prizes (60 SBD in total). But I thought it might be nice to find some upvote sponsors. Which means you can sponsor this world cup contest by providing upvotes. Please let me know if you are interested?
